Therapies at Petra’s Place

At Petra’s Place we work with a wealth of specialists including speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, music and art therapists, play therapists, and medical experts to provide a comprehensive, intensive, early intervention programme of therapeutic care, individually tailored for your child.

The whole family is a part of the treatment plan, with parents participating in sessions in a warm, family-friendly setting to help them implement therapies at home and support the child.

We focus on providing therapy and intervention for pre-school children with autism and other co-occurring conditions. We support young children in a family-friendly setting using bespoke care plans and therapies with multidisciplinary input. Our therapists, where clinically indicated, are able to integrate practices and techniques from evidence-based methods such as ESDM (Early Start Denver Method) and JASPER (Joint Attention, Symbolic Play, Engagement & Regulation).

We accept children from diagnosis between the ages of 18 months and 4 years. Because children in the pre-school years learn best through play and through practical fun activities, we will be offering a range of enjoyable opportunities for learning, such as cooking, painting, and even hands on science(seeing how things work), all delivered in an environment thatis sensory-friendly, tailored to each particular child’s sensitivities.

We are now open for our new Art and Music Creative Therapy Groups. Helping to develop & learn while your child is being creative and having fun! Click here for details.
